More about me
I've lived in Erie, Pennsylvania my whole life. As a child, I spent much of my time building Lego robots, taking things apart, and learning to be a maker. In high school, I was accepted into the "STEM Academy" where I engineered a working prototype for a Modular Virtual Reality Boundary System for three years. This experience wasn't just a project; it propelled me towards my calling in engineering.
I attended Gannon University, studying Industrial and Robotics Engineering. During my time there, I was involved in the development of the Gannon Makerspace, from planning to building and operations. This experience gave me valuable skills in using state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment.
While working at the Makerspace year-round, I also gained experience in local manufacturing. My first role was at EPA Machining, a startup CNC manufacturer. Here, I applied my CNC programming skills to Xometry contract jobs and engineered a custom zero-point system for in-house automation.
Next, I interned in product R&D at Industrial Sales and Manufacturing (ISM), one of Erie's largest manufacturing centers. I worked with the plant manager and a mechanical engineer to design and prototype a portable chamber cleaning solution for a customer.
Now, as I finish my last semesters at Gannon, I'm completing even more external projects through the Makerspace, managing a combat robotics competition for the region, and working on my capstone project focused on robotic automation for ISM's shop floor.
